Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that Medpoint has a lot of different services and options to help you reach your health goals. Here is a list of questions we get asked often that may help to better explain our offerings.

What is the difference between the medicals offered?

The difference between the three medical options we offer is diagnostics within the appointment.  Our 3-hour medical offers over 25+ tests. Our 4-hour gold medical is a step up from this and includes an echocardiogram (which is an ultrasound of your heart).  The 5-hour platinum includes everything within the gold medical but also includes an abdominal ultrasound.  You may wish to choose one based on your family history or what you feel is most important to investigate.

What steps need to be done prior to be prepared for the Medical?

When you book your appointment a Medpoint team member will reach out to you and make sure you have all intake forms that can be completed online (48 hours prior to your appointment time and date).  The morning of your appointment you just have to be fasting 12 hours for optimal blood panel results and need to have a full bladder for our ultrasound technologist to get clear imaging (5-hour only)

3

What to bring with you on the day of the Medical?

On the day of your medical you just need to bring a change of clothes, water bottle and running shoes for the fitness components of the testing.

4

What forms of payment are accepted?

At Medpoint we accept many payment options to suit your needs; e-transfer, all major credit cards, debit, cash or cheque. Whatever method is best for you please let us know ahead of time so we can best prepare.

When will I get my results back?

When will I get the results? At the end of your health assessment with us, a team member will book your follow up appointment with a physician or Nurse Practitioner on a separate day to review all of the results. You will be sent your a full report prior to your follow up appointment.

If I require additional testing or specialist referrals, will there be additional costs?

Any referrals to additional diagnostics or specialist ordered by our physicians if medically indicated would be done through OHIP as a service.
